WE'VE HAD CAPTAIN GASTINEAU ATTEND THE TCOLE CONFERENCE IN THE LOVELY CITY OF MCALLEN.
WE'VE HAD SOME OF OUR CITIZEN VOLUNTEERS ATTEND THE TEXAS CITIZENS ON PATROL CONFERENCE AND ROUND ROCK THIS YEAR, ALREADY. OUR SROS ATTENDED NAZARE, WHICH IS THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF SCHOOL RESOURCE OFFICERS.
WE'VE SENT OFFICERS TO PEPPERBALL INSTRUCTOR ARMOR SCHOOL.
WE'VE SENT OFFICERS TO DEFENSIVE TACTICS TRAINING AS WELL, ALONG WITH A WHOLE HOST OF OTHER CLASSES.
WE'VE ALSO STARTED OUR 21ST CITIZENS POLICE ACADEMY.
AND SO WE STILL HAVE THROUGHOUT THE END OF THE YEAR.
I THINK WE'VE GOT ABOUT SIX OTHER CLASSES THAT WE'RE HOSTING AT THE PD AS WELL, SO.
JUST A FABULOUS TIME FOR THE COMMUNITY TO COME UP AND BE A PART OF OUR NEW FACILITY.

WE'RE ONLY DEALING IN THE PROPERTY STANDARDS WITH THIS AMENDMENT.
THE ORDINANCE WAS ORIGINALLY ADOPTED IN 2021.
HOWEVER, THAT THAT ADOPTION DID NOT ADDRESS MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR UTILITIES FOR DWELLING UNITS.
SO THIS IS A A SAMPLE OF THAT ORDINANCE AND THE SIX SECTIONS THAT ARE UNDERNEATH IT.
AND WHAT THOSE MINIMUM PROPERTY STANDARDS ARE UNDER A, FOR THIS ORDINANCE.
