AS OF TODAY, I HAVEN'T RECEIVED ANY NOTICES BACK FROM THE OWNER. NO CALLS. NO, THEY HADN'T ACCEPTED THEIR CERTIFIED LETTERS OR ANYTHING. NO WORK HAS BEEN DONE. AND YOU CAN TELL AS WE GO THROUGH THE SLIDESHOW THAT THE PICTURES IN THERE. NOW, IT'S GROWN UP BAD WITH THE BRUSH. THE HOUSE HAS NO IMPROVEMENTS WHATSOEVER ON IT. BUILDING STANDARDS COMMISSION MAY HEAR CASES REGARDING SUBSTANDARD STRUCTURE IF DILAPIDATED, SUBSTANDARD, UNFIT FOR HUMAN HABITATION. IT'S A HAZARD TO THE PUBLIC HEALTH, SAFETY AND WELFARE. I THINK IT'D BE SAFE TO SAY, LOOKING AT THAT STRUCTURE, THAT THERE'S NO QUESTION THAT IT'S A DANGER AND IT'S DILAPIDATED AND JUST FALLING APART. BUILDING STANDARDS COMMISSION SHALL ADOPT RULES TO GOVERN PROCEDURES. HOWEVER, SUCH RULES ARE NOT INCONSISTENT WITH THIS ARTICLE, INCONSISTENT WITH THE LAWS OF THE STATE OF TEXAS, AND WE FOLLOWED ALL THE REGULATIONS ON THAT UP TO THIS POINT. RULES SHALL ESTABLISH PROCEDURES FOR HEARING, PROVIDING OPPORTUNITY FOR PRESENTATION OF EVIDENCE OF TESTIMONY BY THE RESPONDENT'S AND OTHER PERSONS RELATED TO THE ALLEGED VIOLATIONS. NOTICE OF PROPOSED ACTION BY THE BUILDING STANDARDS COMMISSION ON MAY 16TH, 2025. PUBLIC HEARING NOTIFICATION. WE'VE MAILED AND POSTED ON THE HOUSE THE SAME THING THAT WE'VE MAILED TO THEM. AND AS YOU CAN SEE IN THE IN THE FRONT YARD. PUBLIC HEARING NOTIFICATION WAS PUBLISHED IN WISE COUNTY MASTER ON JUNE THE 5TH, 2025. TAKE ACTION REGARDING THE ORDER FOR THE CITY TO DEMOLISH THE SUBSTANDARD STRUCTURE. IF THE CITY DEMOLISHES THE STRUCTURE, THE CITY WILL ASSESS THE EXPENSE TO DEMOLISH THE PLACE AND LEAN ON THE PROPERTY, AND THE PROPERTY IS NOT HOMESTEADED THIS TIME. NO ACTION REQUIRED IS TO APPROVE THE ORDER FOR THE CITY TO DEMOLISH THE SUBSTANDARD STRUCTURE OR DISAPPROVE THE ORDER FOR THE CITY TO DEMOLISH THE SUBSTANDARD STRUCTURE. I GUESS OPEN IT UP. YES, SIR. AND SO ALL WE NEED FROM THE BUILDING STANDARDS COMMISSION IS THAT WE HAD A PUBLIC HEARING TO DETERMINE THAT IT WAS SUBSTANDARD, GAVE THEM THEIR PROPER TIME TO BE ABLE TO ALLEVIATE THAT SUBSTANDARD STRUCTURE. THEY DID NOT. AND THEN WE SUBSEQUENTLY ORDERED A DEMOLITION. VERY GOOD. THANK YOU SIR. ALL RIGHT. UPDATE ON THE EAST WARD PROPERTY. EAST WARD PROPERTY, THEY HAVE BEGUN WORKING ON THAT AND MADE SOME IMPROVEMENTS. IT STILL LACKS A BUNCH, BUT THEY ARE IN THE PROGRESS OF MAKING IMPROVEMENTS ON THAT ONE. AND THE ONE ON TRINITY STREET.
