ON AN UPDATE FOR THE PROGRESS AT 605 NORTH ARTHUR STREET.

HOW ARE Y'ALL? GOOD, GOOD, SIR. TO START WITH, ON THE TO PROVIDE THE UPDATE ON THE KEITH DAWSONS PROPERTY AT 605 NORTH ARTHUR. HE DID GET A DEMO COMPANY TO COME OUT.

THEY CAME OUT AND DEMOED THE PROPERTY I'VE GOT BEFORE AND AFTER PICTURES.

I THINK THAT THEY'RE PROBABLY IN YOUR NOTES, BUT THEY GOT THAT HOUSE TOUR ALL THE WAY DOWN SO THAT I'M GLAD THAT HE TOOK RESPONSIBILITY AND TOOK THAT DOWN AND GOT IT WHERE IT'S SAFE AGAIN.

THAT WAS CERTAINLY A DANGER TO EVERYBODY IN THE AREA OVER THERE.

ACTUALLY TALKED TO HIM ONCE AND HE SAID THAT HE'D START WORKING ON IT.

NO PROGRESS BEEN MADE ON THAT YET. SO THAT'S WHY WE'RE HERE TODAY TO BRING THAT BEFORE YOU.

PUBLIC HEARING REGARDING DETERMINATION OF SUBSTANDARD STRUCTURE LOCATED AT 503 WEST WARD ST.

THE PROCEEDINGS FOR THE COMMISSION ARE OUTLINED IN SECTION 10- 105 OF THE CITY OF DECATUR ORDINANCES.

GENERALLY, THE BUILDING STANDARDS COMMISSION SHALL ADOPT THE RULES AND GOVERN ITS PROCEEDINGS.

PROVIDED, HOWEVER, THAT SUCH RULES ARE NOT INCONSISTENT WITH THIS ARTICLE OR THE LAWS OF THE STATE OF TEXAS, THE RULES SHALL BE ESTABLISHED. PROCEDURES FOR USE AND HEARINGS PROVIDE AMPLE OPPORTUNITY FOR PRESENTATION OF EVIDENCE AND TESTIMONY BY RESPONDENTS OR PERSONS OPPOSING CHARGES BROUGHT BY THE CITY OR ITS OFFICIALS RELATING TO ALLEGED VIOLATION OF THE ORDINANCES.

WE HAVEN'T RECEIVED ANYTHING BACK THAT HE DIDN'T ACCEPT ANY OF THE CERTIFIED LETTERS THAT WE MAILED.

HE HADN'T CONTACTED OUR OFFICE IN ANY WAY. WE MAILED REGULAR LETTERS AND CERTIFIED LETTERS AS WELL SO.

AND WHEN WE PUT A LIEN ON THE PROPERTY, THEY CAME IN AND PAID THAT LIEN TO GET IT TAKEN CARE OF BUT WE'VE HAD TO DO THAT OURSELVES TO GET IT TAKEN CARE OF. SO WE HAVE PLACED A LIEN? DO WHAT WE HAVE PLACED LIEN ON THE PROPERTY? THEY DID PAY FOR IT, WHEN WE PLACED THE LIEN ON IT, THEY CAME UP AND PAID THE LIEN ON IT TO GET IT TAKEN CARE OF.

SO WHENEVER HE PAID THE LIENS FOR THE MAILINGS, FOR THE FOR THE MOWING THAT WE DID, IT HAD ALL OF THOSE THINGS THAT WERE ALREADY INCLUDED.
