WE SPENT ABOUT $2,500 ON PAINT.

SO WE WOUND UP SAVING $60,000 ON JUST ON THE PAINT, ON THE PAINT JOB.

WE HAVE A BRAND NEW ROOF AND WE HAVE A BRAND NEW SOUND BOARD.

NO, WE DID NOT.

ALTHOUGH I FELT LIKE WE HAD DONE SOMETHING, SOME OF IT.

BUT BECAUSE WE HAD TO KEEP RUNNING UP AND DOWN THE STAIRS TO LET THE ROOFERS IN AND OUT AND WHATNOT.

OUR PLANS FOR 24, WE WILL BE ADDING A FULL-TIME SOUS CHEF IN APRIL.

SO, WE'RE VERY EXCITED ABOUT THAT.

THAT WILL ALLOW OUR CHEF TO TAKE SOME TIME OFF OR, YOU KNOW, WORK REGULAR HOURS, A LITTLE MORE REGULAR HOURS, AND IT'LL BE A LOT HAPPIER AROUND THERE.

WE ALSO PLAN TO CONTINUE WITH OUR PAINTING.

WE STILL HAVE THE CHISHOLM TRAIL SUITE AND SOME HALLWAYS TO GO, SO WE'LL BE DOING THAT VERY SOON AND WE'LL BE REPLACING THE WINDOW COVERINGS.

SO INSTEAD OF THE BIG HEAVY VELVET DRAPES, WE'LL HAVE THE JUST THE PULL DOWN BLINDS LIKE WE HAVE IN THE EATON BOARD ROOM.

AND THEY YOU CAN SEE OUT THEM, BUT YOU CAN'T REALLY SEE IN THEM.

SO THAT WORKS REALLY NICELY.

AND YOU SEE IN THIS PICTURE HERE THAT IS JUST A PHOTOSHOP OF SOME CARPET THAT WE'RE LOOKING AT BECAUSE WE DO WANT TO REPLACE THE CARPET SOONER RATHER THAN LATER. SO WE ARE LOOKING AT.

TRYING TO FIND SOME CREATIVE WAYS TO COME UP WITH THE FUNDING FOR THE CARPET AND NEW CHAIRS THAT WILL TAKE ALL THE, WILL BE A LOT LESS GREEN COLOR AROUND THERE.

WE'RE ALSO REPLACING THE COUNTERS IN THE RESTROOMS SO THEY WON'T BE FORMICA, THEY'LL BE GRANITE AND THEN THE CABINET THAT WILL HAVE SOME CABINETRY AROUND IT.

AND WE ARE WORKING WITH THE FIRE DEPARTMENT TO REPLACE OUR FIRE SUPPRESSION SYSTEM.

AND THEN WE ALSO JUST HAVE SOME GENERAL SAFETY AND SECURITY RELATED REPAIRS.

SO JUST BRIEFLY, OUR CORE BUSINESS, THIS IS THE LAST QUARTER, JULY THROUGH SEPTEMBER, AND ALSO THE ENTIRE FISCAL YEAR, OCTOBER THROUGH SEPTEMBER. SO, I'LL JUST DO THE ANNUAL MATERIALS CHECK OUT WAS 89,000 ITEMS WERE CHECKED OUT AND CIRCULATED THROUGH THE LIBRARY.

WE HAD 45,000 VISITS.

WITH OUR CONSORTIUM, WE SENT OUT TO OTHER LIBRARIES 3630 ITEMS, AND THEN OUR PATRONS REQUESTED IN OVER 4000 ITEMS AND WE HAVE ISSUED 1818 NEW CARDS.

SO FOR OUR COMPUTERS, FOR THE NUMBER OF PEOPLE WHO HAVE SIGNED ON, IT'S 3540.

THAT DOES NOT COUNT THE NUMBER OF HOURS THAT THEY'VE BEEN ON, BUT HOW MANY PEOPLE ACTUALLY USED THEM? AND THEN OUR EBOOKS AND AUDIOBOOKS ARE REALLY INCREASING IN USE.

ONE OF THE THINGS I THINK THAT I MAY HAVE MENTIONED EITHER THE LAST QUARTER REPORT OR THE QUARTER REPORT BEFORE THAT, THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT WE WANT TO SEE BECAUSE THAT'S A DIRECT CORRELATION AS IT RELATES TO TRAFFIC ENFORCEMENT AND OUR ABILITY OF OUR GUYS TO BE ABLE TO GET OUT AND ENFORCE TRAFFIC.

SO THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT WE WANT TO BE ABLE TO SEE.

AS FAR AS CALLS FOR SERVICE, YOU CAN SEE CURRENTLY TO THE END OF SEPTEMBER, WE HAD OVER 40,000 CALLS FOR SERVICE ALREADY 230 ACCIDENTS, WHICH WAS DOWN TO WHERE WE WERE AT THIS TIME LAST YEAR, WHICH, LIKE I SAID, IS A POSITIVE THING.

SO AGAIN, DIRECT CORRELATION TO WHAT WE'RE SEEING, WHAT YOU GUYS ARE SEEING ON A DAILY BASIS WHEN YOU'RE DRIVING IN AND AROUND OUR COMMUNITY, INCREASED TRAFFIC JUST INCREASED EVERYTHING SPILLS OVER INTO OUR DAILY BUSINESS AS WELL.

AND YOU ALSO HAD AN INCREASE IN STAFF, TOO, IS THAT CORRECT? YES, A LITTLE.

BUT WE'RE ALSO STILL RUNNING SHORTHANDED.

THAT DOESN'T COUNT, JUST PHONE CALLS.

SOME AGENCIES WILL ACTUALLY LOG JUST PHONE CALLS THAT COME IN.

WE DON'T DO THAT IF THEIR CALLS FOR.

IF SOMEBODY CALLS IN AND JUST ASKS FOR SOME HELP AND THEY'RE ABLE TO HELP THEM, WE GO ON ABOUT OUR BUSINESS AND GET THEM THE HELP THAT THEY NEED.

SO, IT DOESN'T ALWAYS CORRELATE TO WHAT THEY'RE DOING ON A DAY-TO-DAY BASIS IN THERE AS FAR AS A CALL.

BUT YOU CAN SEE A LOT OF THE THINGS, OBVIOUSLY TRAFFIC STOPS, SECURITY CHECKS, ALL OF THOSE THINGS.

THERE'S A WHOLE, WHOLE LOT OF OTHER LITTLE CALLS THAT WE DO.

BUT JUST SO THAT YOU KIND OF SEE WHERE THEY ARE EACH AND EVERY DAY SO THAT IN THE FUTURE, YOU KNOW, AS I COME BACK AND SAY, HEY, LOOK, THIS IS HOW BUSY THESE GUYS ARE.

HERE ARE SOME OF THOSE NUMBERS FOR YOU.

ALSO ON THE FIRE SIDE.

THE FIRE SIDE IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT BECAUSE WE DISPATCH FIRE, FIRE.

BUT WHAT I'VE DONE ON HERE IS I'VE KIND OF BROKE THAT OUT A LITTLE BIT TO SHOW WHAT HAPPENS.

SO WHEN OUR DISPATCH DISPATCHES OUR FIRE, THEY'RE EITHER GOING TO DISPATCH THEM TO CALLS THAT ARE IN THE CITY OR INTO THE COUNTY.

WELL, TYPICALLY WHAT WILL HAPPEN IS IF IT'S A CALL OUT IN THE COUNTY, THEN OUR FIRE DEPARTMENT WILL SWITCH OVER TO THE COUNTY CHANNEL AND COMMUNICATE DIRECTLY WITH THE COUNTY DISPATCH A LOT. BUT OUR DISPATCHERS ARE STILL HAVING TO MONITOR WHAT OUR GUYS AND WHAT OUR FIRE GUYS ARE DOING OUT IN THE COUNTY.

SO INSTEAD OF REALLY MONITORING TWO CHANNELS AT THAT POINT IN TIME, NOW THEY BECOME TWO MONITORING THREE.

SO ONCE AGAIN, IT'S JUST INCREASED LOAD AS THE FIRE DEPARTMENT, THEY'LL DO THEIR REPORT NEXT TIME.

YOU'RE GOING TO SEE THEIR CALLS ARE INCREASING.

ALL OF THESE INCREASES ARE JUST ADDING THAT EXTRA LOAD TO WHAT OUR TELECOMMUNICATORS ARE DEALING WITH ON A DAY IN AND DAY OUT BASIS.

ALSO, YOU CAN SEE OVER 2911 CALLS THAT WERE RECEIVED BY OUR DISPATCH IN THE LAST QUARTER AS WELL.

DELVIN, NOT TO INTERRUPT YOU, BUT I'M GOING TO INTERRUPT YOU.

AND I KNOW WE JUST WENT THROUGH BUDGET.

WHAT'S OUR PLANS TO GROW IN THAT POSITION AS FAR AS TELECOMMUNICATORS?

YES, SIR. SO HOPEFULLY WHAT WE'VE BEEN ABLE TO DO IS ONCE WE GET THIS LAST DISPATCHER HIRED, THAT WE'RE STILL SHORT IN A VACANT POSITION.

WHAT THAT DOES IS THAT MAKES IT TO WHERE WE WILL HAVE TWO DISPATCHERS ON DURING THE DAYTIME ALL THE TIME.

AND THEN AT NIGHT TIME WE'LL GO TO ONE.

THE REALITY IS, IS COMING NEXT YEAR, IF YOU'RE ON THE BUDGET COMMITTEE, YOU'RE GOING TO HEAR ME COME IN AND ASK FOR ANOTHER DISPATCHER FOR NEXT YEAR, BECAUSE THEN WHAT THAT WILL DO IS IS TO BE ABLE TO HELP US TO GO TO HAVING TWO DISPATCHERS 24 HOURS A DAY.

EVENTUALLY. THAT'S WHAT'S GOING TO HAVE TO HAPPEN JUST AS WE CONTINUE TO GROW THE THINGS WE'RE EXPERIENCING, THE FIRE DEPARTMENT AS THEIR GROWTH.

THESE THINGS ARE COMING AS FAR AS IN THE TELECOMMUNICATIONS SIDE.

THE OTHER THING IS, IS IN THE NEW PD AS WELL.

WE'RE ACTUALLY LOOKING TO THE FUTURE WITH THAT GROWTH.

CURRENTLY RIGHT NOW IN OUR CURRENT FACILITY, WE ONLY HAVE TWO STATIONS SET UP FOR DISPATCH AND OUR NEW WE WILL HAVE UP TO SIX THAT WILL BE AVAILABLE.

SO WE WILL BE ABLE TO GROW AS WE CONTINUE TO GROW.

AND THAT GROWTH, I MEAN, SIX, SIX STATIONS THAT WILL BASICALLY MATCH WHAT THE COUNTY HAS RIGHT NOW AS FAR AS WHAT THEIR CALLS THAT THEY DO COUNTYWIDE.

SO AS A CITY, THAT WILL SET US UP FOR A LONG TERM FUTURE.

AS IT RELATES TO THE TELECOMMUNICATIONS SIDE, IT'S JUST BEING ABLE TO FILL THOSE EACH ONE OF THOSE WORK STATIONS AS WE CONTINUE TO GROW.

SOME PEOPLE HAVE MORE THAN TWO VEHICLES.
