BUT AS CHIEF CAMPBELL AND THE TEAM DOVE INTO SITE WORK, THEY REALIZED SOME OF THE THINGS THAT PLAGUED THE FIRE DEPARTMENTS CONSTRUCTION BACK IN 2010, THE TERRAIN, TOPOGRAPHY, AND JUST THE OVERALL QUALITY OF THAT LAND ON THE SOUTH SIDE WOULD NOT EASILY SUPPORT A FACILITY OF 30,000 SQUARE FOOT, WHICH WE'RE AIMING TO BUILD.

CHIEF SET OUT TO WORK TO CHANGE HIS SITE PLAN.

THIS IS NOW THE UPDATED SITE PLAN.

WE MOVE THE FACILITY FROM THE SOUTH END OF THE PROPERTY UP TO THE NORTHEAST PIECE OF THE PROPERTY, WHICH GIVES US A LOT OF THINGS, MAINLY A MORE FLAT AREA FOR WHICH TO START WITH.

BUT IT'S ALSO GOING TO SPEAK TO FUTURE USE, AND YOU CAN SEE WE'VE IDENTIFIED A PARK LOCATION UP IN THE CENTER, AND THEN NOW WE'VE MOVED OUR FUTURE MUNICIPAL COMPLEX OR CITY HALL, WHATEVER THE DESIRE IS, OVER TO THE NORTH WEST SIDE OF THE PROPERTY.

IT'S AT THAT POINT IN TIME THAT THEN THE CONSTRUCTION COMPANY GOES INTO THEY GET ALL THEIR PURCHASING.

THEY DO ALL THOSE THINGS PRETTY WELL UP FRONT.

THERE'S A LOT OF THINGS NOW BECAUSE OF THE WAY THE MARKET AND INSTABILITY HAS BEEN IN THE CONSTRUCTION WORLD ITSELF.

A LOT OF THE BIG CONSTRUCTION COMPANIES ON THESE PROJECTS NOW, THEY PURCHASE A LOT OF THINGS RIGHT UP FRONT, AND THEN THEY STORE THEM.

WE VISITED WEATHERFORD PD AND THEY HAD DONE A LOT OF THE EXACT SAME THINGS NEARING THE END OF THEIR PROJECT.

BECAUSE THINGS ARE HARD TO COME BY.

PRIME EXAMPLE FOR US WOULD BE A GENERATOR.

THE GENERATOR THAT WE WOULD NEED TO PURCHASE WOULD HAVE TO BE ONE OF THE VERY FIRST THINGS PURCHASED, AND THAT GENERATOR ALONE IS $750,000 GENERATOR.

BECAUSE THE LEAD TIME ON GENERATORS ARE SO LONG.

BY DOING THIS AND HAVING THE CONSTRUCTION MANAGER AT RISK IN PLACE AS WE HAVE FINALIZED EVERYTHING THAT WE NEED, THE CONSTRUCTION COMPANY HAS THOSE COSTS THAT THEY HAVE.

THAT'S HOW WE'RE EXTREMELY CONFIDENT NOW COMPARED TO WHAT WE WERE WHEN WE STARTED.
